French actress turned model Léa Seydoux is fashion's newest darling and so in celebration we’ve decided to round up everything you need to know about the rising star.

  • Her full name is Léa Hélène Seydoux-Fornier de Clausonne (wow).

  • She is one of seven children and her older sister Camille Seydoux is now her stylist hence the impeccable sartorial taste.

  • Her parents divorced when she was just three years of age.

  • She grew up in Saint-Germain-des-Prés in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Her family were brought up to be strict protestants.

  • Her father made her attend summer camp in America for 6 years in a row in order for her to learn fluent English - of course it came in handy for her future roles in James Bond and The Grand Budapest Hotel

  • Léa grew up around some pretty famous faces as her family were friends with Mick Jagger and Christian Louboutin - who gave Lea her first pair of Louboutins aged just 12.

  • Léa may be an actress but she’s a girl after our own heart as she names her celebrity crushes as Johnny Depp during his Cry Baby era and Marlon Brando in Streetcar Named Desire.

  • Léa originally had dreams of becoming an opera singer when she was young and went on to study music at the Conservatoire de Paris. She gave up her musical ambitions however after deciding to instead pursue acting.

  • Léa admits to being a huge fan of Michael Jackson and often practices his choreographs – a secret dance talent perhaps?

  • She sites one reason as to why she decided to pursue acting at 18 is due to fancying an actor she wanted to impress.

  • She is the seventh French actress to play the Bond girl as she made her debut in Spectre.

  • Filming Blue Is The Warmest Colour led Léa to question her own sexual identity as she told the Evening Standard, ‘Of course I did. Me as a person, as a human being... It's not nothing, making those scenes. Of course I question myself. But... I did not have any revelations’.

  • Léa may be an actress but she’s also had a rather successful modelling career after first fronting American Apparel’s campaign back in 2007. Since then, Léa has gone on to feature as the face of Prada Candy and Miu Miu’s 2014 Resort campaign.

  • It’s no wonder Lea has paved her way within the film industry as her family are rooted within the French cinema sphere. Léa is the granddaughter of Jérome Seydoux, the chairman of French film giant Pathé whilst her great uncle Nicolas Seydoux chairs film group Gaumont.
