Very, very exciting news for film fans/Little Monsters: Lady Gaga has just finished filming on House of Gucci. The Oscar winner confirmed the news that filming had wrapped on the drama about the 1995 murder-for-hire of Maurizio Gucci (the grandson of the fashion house's founder, Guccio Gucci) on Saturday, uploading a photo of her fist-bumping the film's director, Ridley Scott.
But while that Instagram post might have thousands of likes, that isn't what set the internet alight this weekend. A video of Gaga throwing roses to her Italian fans waiting outside a hotel is what people have been focusing on. Mainly because it is so (in true Gaga style) bizarre, surreal and hilarious. Carrying a bouquet of roses, Gaga looked incredibly emotional leaving her hotel - but she then proceeded to throw the flowers on the floor in front of her fans, as if they were ducks being thrown a scrap of bread.
'I’m sorry but I was not prepared for how funny this video of Lady Gaga throwing flowers at fans in Italy is,' one fan wrote. Meanwhile, another added, 'Decided I’m going as Lady Gaga throwing flowers at fans for Halloween this year.' A third observed, 'Somebody said she looks like she’s feeding pigeons and now I can’t not see it.'
Do you think she looks like she's feeding pigeons? Well, you can watch it for yourself here.
Although one fan did make a valid point, stating, 'Lady Gaga throwing flowers to fans to maintain social distancing is more fine than these celebrities throwing parties during a pandemic.' Which kind of explains the whole thing, tbh.
While this video is enough to keep us entertained today, House of Gucci is anticipated to be released on November 26 2021 in the UK. It's actually not that long to wait, so we wouldn't be surprised if the actress has won awards for House of Gucci by this time next year.
