Did you know Kylie Jenner is a bit of an art collector? In recently-released photos of the make-up millionaire's Hidden Hills home from an Architectural Digest editorial looking into the home's design, there's everything we would expect from the inventor of the Lip Kit (life-sized Barbie prints, a whole room dedicated to pastel wigs and Lip-Kit drip-inspired gold decor) but you might have also noticed a very special piece of work by Tracy Emin on her walls.
The neon sign reading 'The Kiss Was Beautiful' is one of the British artist's light installations. On the tamer end of the spectrum of Emin's work, which includes, famously, her unmade bed inclusive of used tampons, this is not the only piece of Tracy Emin's work that Kylie Jenner's snapped up. She also has a neon sign reading 'I Can’t Believe How Much You Love Me', Vogue Australiarevealed the pieces are worth anywhere between an estimated £50,000 to £72,000 each.
You can just about see the first sign in the back of one of her Instagram posts, which looks a bit like it might be taken in her bedroom.
Emin already has a strong celebrity following of her artwork, including Jerry Hall, Naomi Campbell and Orlando Bloom, who have all bought her pieces at auctions.
But Kylie's modern art collection doesn't just stop at Tracy Emin. Her dining room plays host to several of Damien Hirst's butterfly foil prints, which form part of his series I Love You. Of course, there's always the chance that the pieces were curated by her interior decorator Martyn Lawrence Bullard, but given Kylie Jenner's well-documented fascination with butterflies we'd like to think that the Damien Hirst works indicates that she had a hand in choosing the artworks for her home, which she shares with rapper Travis Scott and daughter Stormi Webster.
We can conclude that as well as being worth millions and millions, Kylie Jenner is a bit of an art fanatic with a taste for Britain's YBAs.
On the less conventional end of the scale you might have also spotted the several large sculptures on the wall of her dressing room by Beau Dunn, which are titled 'Size Does Matter' which is appropriate because it is....condom art. Which is exactly what you think it is. Yes: art made from condoms, belonging to Kylie Jenner.
