In a now deleted Instagram post, Chris Brown expressed his support for singer Akon’s charity campaign to bring solar energy to rural Africa. For some inexplicable reason, he couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to have a transphobic dig at Caitlyn Jenner at the same time.
The controversial singer wrote: ‘Shout out to Akon! He is about to supply 600 million Africans with solar power. I'm really upset that this isn’t major news but that science project bruce jenner is #Society.’
Kylie Jenner, whose boyfriend Tyga frequently collaborates on tracks with Brown, was not impressed. She left a comment under the offensive Instagram, stating ‘Not very nice thing to say about your friend's dad’.
The 17-year-old reality TV star and model also tweeted the following message:
It’s unclear whether Kylie’s comments were the reason Chris Brown decided to delete the post. Either way, we hope he’s taken her words on board and will learn to be a bit more sensitive in the future.
Being honest, we’re not going to hold our breath…
