Kim Kardashian has been on an Instagram posting spree of late while documenting her trip to Japan with sister Kourtney and her new pink hair. However, one photo in particular is causing quite the controversy. Said picture is of a snake which Kim referred to in the caption as ‘Little Louis’, referencing the Louis Vuitton monogram logo on the reptile’s skin.

While commentators were quick to call out the cruelty of exploiting an animal in such a way, others pointed out that the image must be photoshopped or fake. As well as the ethical debate, the Internet has gone into overdrive analysing what the meaning behind this post is.

Many have suggested that it has something to do with Taylor Swift as the snake emoji has become a symbol of their ongoing feud following the time that Kim fans trolled Taylor’s account with thousands of the emoticon. Later Taylor’s fans reclaimed the snake emoji, and Taylor herself used snake imagery for her Reputation album.

The stars fell out after Kim posted a video on Snapchat of Taylor on the phone to her husband Kanye confirming she approved the lyrics for his song, Famous which included the line: ‘I made that bitch famous.'

This isn’t the first time Kim has used the Louis Vuitton brand Kim in such a cryptic way. Earlier in January she posed with two bins covered in French fashion house’s iconic logo.
