Kim Kardashian was robbed during Paris Fashion Week on October 3 2016. Since the event, 17 men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery, four of which have now been charged.

And French newspaper, Le Journal du Dimanche, has now published the six-page police statement Kim gave following the event. Translated by WWD, the document details the events of the tragic night including the cost of the jewels stolen, which weighed in at $5 million as opposed to the previously reported $10 million.

In Kim’s own words, the reality star described how she heard footsteps outside of her Parisian apartment in the early hours of the morning. Consequently, Kim called her bodyguard at approximately 2.56 am but shortly afterwards two masked men disguised as police men burst into her room. They were joined by the residence’s receptionist.

One of the men, who was wearing ski goggles, asked Kim for her engagement ring. The 36-year-old pretended she didn’t know where it was until the robber produced a weapon. Kim then pointed to the $4 million Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring on the table.

“He pointed the weapon at me. He took the ring. He was wearing gloves. He asked me where the jewellery and money was,” Kardashian told French police.

She continued: “They grabbed me and took me to the entrance hall. I was wearing a bathrobe, naked underneath. We then went back to the room and they pushed me onto the bed. That’s when they tied me with plastic cables and sticky tape on the hands, then they taped my mouth and legs. They carried me to my bathroom, to my bathtub to be precise."

Kim then went on to explain how the armed robbers took more than just her engagement ring. The reality star was also missing two diamond Cartier bracelets, a yellow gold Rolex watch, a diamond-studded cross, several items from Jacob & Co., a Lorraine Schwartz diamond necklace and earrings and a diamond necklace bearing the name of her son, Saint.

Kim left immediately following the police statement and has not visited Paris since. One of the robbers dropped the diamond cross in the street when fleeing, which was later handed to the police.

Since the event, 17 suspects have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery, four of which have now been charged.
