Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Welcome Their Fourth Child

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child, a baby boy, to the world on Friday. The tv personality and businesswoman announced the birth on twitter saying “He’s here and he’s perfect”.

Celebrity friends and acquaintances from John Legend to Jimmy Fallon tweeted their congratulations. Twitter, being twitter, also couldn't help but make a few jokes about they way the baby's arrival was announced.

She later added: “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.”

Kim had been scheduled to appear on Ellen on Thursday 9th May but had to cancel the appearance. Kris Jenner was on the show and was surprised when Kourtney and 6 of her grandchildren came to share the sofa with her for the Mother’s Day special. It appeared Kourtney had another surprise for the mom-ager as she revealed that Kim’s surrogate had gone into labour. “My mom doesn’t even know this but Kim’s surrogate went into labour, so she’s at the hospital.” Kris, shocked and surprised, responded “No! What are we even doing sitting here?!”

Kim has been open about the difficulties that led to her use of a surrogate. The mogul gave birth to her first two children North and Saint but not without severe medical complications. North had to be delivered six weeks early when Kim was told she had pre-eclampsia – a condition that can restricts the oxygen flow between mother and baby . But after giving birth, suffered from placenta accreta, where the placenta doesn’t detach fully from the womb. Saint was a breech baby and after unsuccessful surgery to fix a hole in the uterus, Kim was warned by doctors about carrying future children. She turned to a surrogate for the birth of Chicago, who was born last year, as well as the newest addition to the family, whose name is yet to be revealed.

Kimye now have two boys and two girls.
