Kim Kardashian has shared a post which claims that a psychic predicted the coronavirus pandemic 12 years ago - and it says it will be back in 2030. Writing on Twitter, Kim says her sister, Kourtney, posted a picture of an extract from Sylvia Browne's 2008 book End of Days in their group chat.

In the screengrab, a section from a page has been circled with a red pen, reading: ‘In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments.'

Adding that the virus might return in 2030, it says, ‘Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrived, attack again ten years later, and then disappear completely.’ The caption on the original post reads: ‘From psychic Sylvia Brown! Written in 2008!’

The post spooked her followers, with many asking if the extract is even real (it is, though who knows if the rest of the predictions will come true).

Kim's post follows the news that Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson{ =nofollow}, have tested positive for the virus while in Australia. The actor confirmed his diagnosis on Instagram yesterday, saying the pair were tested after experiencing mild symptoms. ‘Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia,’ he wrote. ‘We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.’
