They may be celebrity royalty but it seems that there are some invites even Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson can't score. The couple flew into the UK earlier this week, for reasons that are still unclear, but many speculated it was to join in the Jubilee celebrations.

However, The Daily Mail is reporting that the pair have been 'snubbed' by Buckingham Palace, with their request for tickets to attend the Platinum Party At The Palace this Saturday turned down. Apparently, representatives for Kim also tried - unsuccessfully - to secure tickets via the BBC, who will broadcast the event.

A source told The Daily Mail that Kim doesn't mind if the tickets are 'not VIP'. They said: 'Kim rarely gets turned down to attend any event, so this has been quite surprising, especially as she doesn't visit the UK often. Kim and Pete love the Royal Family and really wanted to be a part of this special celebration.'

The Platinum Party at the Palace will include performances from Alicia Keys, Mabel, Ella Eyre, Craig David, Queen, Diana Ross and Nile Rodgers. There will also be special appearances from David Beckham, Sir David Attenborough, Emma Raducanu, Stephen Fry, Dame Julie Andrews and The Royal Ballet.

Around 10,000 tickets were allocated via a public ballot, and an additional 7,500 have been given to key workers, volunteers and charities. The Queen herself will not attend the event, with other member of the royal family expected to attend on her behalf. The Queen had to cancel her appearance at the Thanksgiving Service at St Paul's after experiencing 'discomfort' at the Trooping the Colour celebrations on Thursday.

As for Kim and Pete, they may have to make do with watching the event on TV like the rest of us.
