Good news: there is going to be another season of Killing Eve. Bad news: it's going to be the last time we'll see Eve and Villanelle. 'Killing Eve has been one of my greatest experiences and I look forward to diving back into Eve’s remarkable mind soon,' Sandra Oh - who plays Eve - said. 'I’m so grateful for all cast and crew who have brought our story to life and to the fans who have joined us and will be back for our exciting and unpredictable fourth and final season.'

So, while we're very sad it's going to be the last season, here's everything we know so far.

Who is going to be in Killing Eve season four?

Sandra Oh - Eve - and Jodie Comer - Villanelle - are going to be back. Fiona Shaw will also return as Carolyn Martens and Kim Bodnia will continue to play Konstantin. We don't know who else is going to be in the series yet...

How many episodes are going to be in Killing Eve season four?

There's going to be eight episodes in the final season (we still don't think that's enough, tbh).

When is Killing Eve season four going to be on TV?

Ah, we're not 100% sure yet, sadly. Production on the series had been delayed thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. But filming has now begun, with AMC Networks saying it's going to air some time in 2022. However, the last few series have all premiered in May, so it's probably going to follow that pattern. Basically, keep May 2022 free.

And excitingly, Jodie and Fiona have been spotted filming scenes in Margate, Kent.

What is going to be the Killing Eve season four plot?

Now we don't know, but that would be spoiling things anyway if we did. Laura Neal will serve as the new lead writer and executive producer of the show. (Phoebe Waller-Bridge had the honour for the first series, followed by Emerald Fennell for season two and Suzanne Heathcote took over for the third season.) The show is inspired by Luke Jennings’ 2018 thriller novel Codename Villanelle, and (spoiler alert) in the final novel, Killing Eve: Die For Me, Eve and Villanelle do end up together (after the assassin fakes her death). So whether this will happen, or another twist will occur, is anybody's guess.

Is there going to be a Killing Eve spin-off?

Yes, there could be! AMC have revealed they are working with partner Sid Gentle Films Ltd. to 'develop a number of potential spinoff ideas to extend the show’s iconic universe.' So it's not all bad news.

Is there a Killing Eve trailer?

Not yet! But patience is a virtue. We'll keep you posted.
