Look, we're all missing our usual social lives right now. We wish we were on a beach in Greece. We want to be queuing for a table at our favourite restaurant. And, chances are, if you live in a particular pocked of London, you may be desperate for an evening at Rowans, the Finsbury Park bowling alley. Well, the next best thing has arrived thanks to the BBC, which this week aired an episode of Killing Eve partly filmed at the hotspot.
The third series of the cat and mouse drama is currently hitting our screens, and there have been some major surprises - don't worry, no spoilers ahead. The biggest surprise was, however, seeing Sandra Oh - who plays Eve - show up at the unofficial London landmark (although it was presented as Barcelona!).
Londoners were flabbergasted, and the original poster - journalist Micha Frazer-Carroll - summed up our despaiir in one tweet: 'Insensitive considering this is the only place I want to run to right now.' The sad face was, we feel, implied.
Honestly, we didn't realise how much we missed going to one of the area's most fun destinations. Once you get through the door - you need ID in the evenings, no exceptions - you unlock access to the slightly dilapidated bowling alley, arcade and karaoke booth. Weekends are packed, as it becomes something of a nightclub. And, best of all, you can order pizza to be delivered to your alley. We're getting teary just thinking about it.
Rowans, we miss you. We're just glad Sandra Oh has had her eyes opened to its joys.
