If you have an Instagram account, there's a high chance you saw at least one bikini picture of Khloé Kardashian over the long weekend. Khloé, who has a cool 136million followers on Insta, spent her Easter weekend chilling by the pool in California - OK, we're jealous - and posted a few gorgeous swimwear snaps. However, there is one image that isn't on Khloé's Instagram - one that her team had been rushing to'scrub from the internet'{ =nofollow}, according to numerous articles about the 'leaked' pool photo.

In the photo, which can still be seen in many articles, Khloé looks glowing, happy and relaxed. Wearing a leopard print bikini, the star isn't posing - and it also appears that the snap hasn't been airbrushed or filtered. And yet, despite all this, she still looks fantastic. Many fans had been resharing the image, telling Khloé that she looks ace. But according to Page Six, legal threats have been sent to some who have posted the image online.

'The colour edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant,' Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, said in a statement. 'Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.'

The fact this image is being taken down from the internet is a reminder of just how much power the family yield, and how careful they are to cultivate their image. Instagram is a big, big business for the family - it's believed Khloé can make over $600,000 per Instagram endorsement. And the sisters have long been accused of setting unattainable beauty standards on the platform - whether that be through their advertisement deals with diet shake companies, rumoured surgeries or their pristine photos, where they look like supermodels in every single one - and so, yes, it is surprisingly refreshing to see a candid pic of Khloé.

But, at the end of the day, while Khloé might help set beauty standards, that doesn't mean she still isn't subject to them herself. In the last episode of KUTWK, she told her boyfriend Tristan Thompson that constant speculation about her looks - and whether or not she has had surgery - meant her 'soul was at a breaking point'.

Days since the first reports, Khloé has now spoken out about the pic in alengthy statement{ =nofollow}. 'As someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn't flattering, in bad lighting or doesn't capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point - and then shares it to the world - you should have every right to ask for it not to be shared - regardless of who you are,' she wrote on Instagram, also acknowledging that the pic is 'beautiful'. Khloé added that she feels the pressure to meet beauty standards is 'too much to bear' following years of trolling.

While we all might like to see a natural side to the star, like the 'leaked' bikini pic, it's understandable why Khloé wants an image she hasn't approved removed from the internet. Her image is quite literally her brand - but it really would be great to see more pics like the one her team were so desperate to remove. There's nothing for her to be ashamed of.
