Princess Charlotte turns 2 tomorrow, so to celebrate, Kensington Palace has released an adorable new photograph of the tot on their social media channels.

The image, which was taken by her mother the Duchess of Cambrigde, shows Charlotte playing outside at their home in Norfolk. Kate is known for being a budding amateur photographer, having previously taken other official portraits of her children (including for Charlotte's first birthday).

Prince George's little sister has certainly grown up since the last official photographs of her were shared on Christmas Day - with longer bob-length hair. She is wearing a sweet knitted yellow cardigan with sheep on in the picture, as well as a navy ribbon hair slide. Ahhh! (Also, how much does she look like the Queen?!)

'TRH would like to thank everyone for the lovely messages they have received & hope that everyone enjoys this photograph as much as they do,' the Palace said in a Tweet after unveiling the cute picture.

Kate recently told a fellow mummy at an event to unveil a war memmorial that Charlotte was 'the boss' of the household.

Happy birthday Charlotte! We hope your day was as fun as this was...
