Kelly Osbourne Is Busy Doing That Post-Breakup Oversharing Thing On Instagram

Or is she just getting back to work?

Kelly Osbourne was at the Golden Globes, and you'll be acutely aware of that if you follow her on any sort of social media platform.

She Instagrammed pretty much everything she came across – her golden fingernails, her programme, her make-up being done, the jewellery she had her pick of, a wardrobe rail full of potential dresses to wear on the night, a row of shoes in the running (sorry) to be on her feet for the occasion, a shot of her hair being done… basically, everything she did up until she was on live TV.

Not content with sharing this on one platform, she shared the images to her 3.5 million followers on Twitter, too.

Now, if we to jump to silly conclusions, we’d suggest that she was doing that thing that people do post-breakup, where, desperate to prove that their life is much better off without their ex without making direct contact with them, their social media activity skyrockets. With Diffusion's UK Social-ology Study 2013 saying that 48% of us remain Facebook friends with exes after a breakup, that means there's a lot of opportunities for people to flaunt their newly single freedom.

However, while it’s true that her and fiancé Matthew Mosshart announced their split last week, it’s also true that Kelly works for E!’s _Fashion Polic_e show. As much as it’s likely she wanted to get to Matthew with her Instagram photos of her looking fabulous, we doubt he’d be that jealous of a photo of her rack of clothes. And he’s a vegan chef anyway, so why would he be looking at Instagram on a Sunday night? Shouldn't he be busy making a nut loaf or something?

Maybe, following Kelly O's return to the red carpet, head held high, a new cliché of heartbroken women can be invented? Instead of either being that girl who pigs out on Ben & Jerrys on the sofa and cries at chick-flicks, or that girl who heads out on five-day binges, turning her bloodstream into Prosecco and her friends’ Facebook feed into a blow-by-blow account of just how Liz Taylor her life really is, what about a third type of girl – the one who throws herself into her work?

Kelly O does do a pretty good job of, um… going back to work.
