Congratulations to Keira Knightley and husband, ex-Klaxons' musician James Righton, who've got a new bouncy baby girl!
The couple's first child arrived (hehe, what a diplomatic way of describing the beautiful agony that is labour) very recently, as 'multiple sources' have confirmed to E! News.
We have literally no other news than that, apart from:
1. Speculation on the baby girl's name
Whatever it is, we'd hazard a bet it might be purposefully misspelt in tribute to Keira's mum. See, Keira recently revealed the story of her name:
'My dad fancied her [a Eurovision singer] and nicked her name for me. But it was my mum who went to register my birth, and she accidentally spelled "ei" instead of "ie" because my mum's crap at spelling.'
'What were they going to do, though? Once it's on the piece of paper, it's on the piece of paper. And that's me. A spelling error.'
If Keira wants to continue her mum's tradition, (she is dyslexic, after all) and misspell this baby's name, there are just so many options, from Aleize to Zoway.
2. Fingers crossed that Keira won't have to put up with the sort of sexist questions mothers in Hollywood get (over dads in Hollywood)
Will Keira put up with all the 'how do you juggle it all?' questions interviewers will lob at her? It's still to be seen, and she shouldn't have to put up with them. But she's got good form with answering questions about motherhood with a bit of an eyeroll, having told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show about her plans for the baby way back when it was still gestating: 'There isn't an option to sort of keep it in, is there?'
'So, I'm assuming my plan is to get it out. But apparently, there's more to the plan than that. I don't know what that is. Still, my plan is to get it out. It will come out.'
And it has! Well done Keira and James, let's hope you two and Steffaniey all manage to get some sleep in these next few days/weeks/months.
