We’re really into seeing two powerhouse females have a bit of a love-in, so it was delightful to see Katy Perry go all fan-girlie with Hillary Clinton on Friday when she met her at Hillary’s book signing. Katy posted a picture on Instagram and Twitter (one social media platform would have been insufficient) of herself posing with the First Lady of Arkansas, along with the caption: ‘I told @hillaryclinton that I would write her a “theme” song if she needs it.’

Katy Perry’s hit Roar is already being used as part of Hillary’s campaign, but it looks like Katy’s on hand to produce more music if any is required.

Today Hillary responded to Katy’s offer with predictable diplomacy – neither accepting nor declining the offer. She even managed to squeeze a reference to Roar and Hard Choices(the title of her book) into the tweet. What a pro. ‘@katyperry Well that’s not a Hard Choice. You already did! Keep letting us hear you Roar.’

That’s all very impressive for only 140 characters – it’s almost as if she’s a politician or something, isn’t it?
