Taylor Swift might have hit headlines ealier this month when it was revealed she makes an estimated £660,000 daily, but now news comes that there's a singer with an even more lucrative pop career - and it's none other than her rival Katy Perry.

Forbes has named the 'Dark Horse' singer the top female earner of 2015.

Thanks to her 126-date Prismatic World Tour and numerous endorsements with beauty brands like Covergirl and Coty, Katy is estimated to have earned £89 million. She's thought to earn £1.3 million per city on her tour.

Meanwhile, Taylor came in second with earnings of £52 million, accrued thanks to her 1989 World Tour, 3.6 million selling album of the same name and the rocketing success of her singles, including latest track, 'Wildest Dreams'.

While, the gap between the two singers earnings is pretty wide right now, Taylor could be a sure-fire winner for next year, thanks to the continuing success of her tour, while Katy's is wrapping up.

Earlier this year Katy said of her success: "I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company. I’m an entrepreneur. … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls." And it's that fierce attitude that's got her where she is - go KP.
