We know by now that the Duchess of Cambridge is not averse to a high street brand, from Reiss, Whistles and Hobbs to Russell & Bromley and LK Bennett. She was photographed coming out of Kings Cross St Pancras station wearing a checked Zara coat, on the same day Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made their first public event appearance.
While LK Bennett et al remain well on the pricey side for the average consumer, Zara is very much the everyman of brands, so Kate copycats can get this particular look without really splurging. At £99.99, the coat is currently available both in store and online; wear it like Kate, with black jeans, a grey turtleneck and boots (she's spruced up the ensemble a tad with a Mulberry bag and that show-stopping sapphire ring).
Kate has, of course, been seen in Zara multiple times before: most recently she wore a pretty floral dress from the highstreet retailer en route to sister Pippa’s wedding.
As with Meghan Markle’s white Line the Label coat and Strathberry handbag, we’ll bet this Zara design won’t be hanging around on the shelves for too long, so snap it up while you can.
