Let's face it, it's a question we've all thought about: how does the Duchess of Cambridge stay so slim? Because it's not like she can dash out for a jog when she feels like it, is it? And we're unlikely to ever see her partaking in the latest trend of fitness class, are we? (Even if it did take place in Kensington.)
So yes, it's a question we've all wondered... but would NEVER ask. EVER.
Thankfully though, university professor BulBul Dhar-James has no such scruples. Because he did ask.
At the tea party in New Delhi yesterday honouring the 90th birthday of The Queen, the professor recalled asking the Duchess: 'How do you lose all the weight after having two kids?'
To which the Duchess apparently responded: 'I am running after my kids!'
As any mother will know, this all makes perfect sense - caring for two children under three is no easy task. But the bold professor didn't stop there... He then went on to ask whether she ever gets tired of smiling. (We mean, WHAT a question!)
Dutifully, Catherine replied with good grace: 'I'm just reciprocating. Everyone is so warm,' she said. Just as we expected: the perfect answer.
The Duchess and her husband, Prince William, are currently in the midst of a week-long tour of India and Bhutan. In a speech at a charity gala the previous day, Prince William had said: 'When Catherine and I were married, India was the first place on Catherine’s list that she told me that she wanted to visit. Two children and five years later, we have finally made it – and we are both honoured to be here.'
And it looks like they're having a wonderful time too.
