Kate Middleton has returned to work after announcing last week that she had completed her cancer treatment. The Princess of Wales met with her Centre for Early Childhood team members and the Kensington Palace staff at Windsor Castle to discuss her early years childhood project.
In the official Court Circular of engagements undertaken by working royals, the entry reads: 'The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.'
The meeting marks her official return to royal duties after eight months off while she recovered from cancer following her diagnosis in February. In a family video shared on social media last week, Kate Middleton revealed that she is excited to return back to work. She added, 'I am looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months' but said 'my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes'.
While many royal supporters are pleased to see the Princess of Wales feeling better and slowly returning to her royal duties, there is still a corner of the internet speculating about her cancer recovery. As such, 'Is Kate Middleton wearing a wig?' has become a breakout search term on Google.
It goes without saying that 'Is Kate Middleton wearing a wig' is an insensitive query, especially for someone who has just completed chemotherapy treatment, which can cause people to lose their hair. While Kate Middleton kept a low profile during her cancer treatment, her appearances at Trooping the Colour in June, the Wimbledon Championships in July and her social media video shared in September all suggest her hair was not affected in this way. Even so, it is not anyone's business to question whether Kate Middleton is wearing a wig.
There are also several videos on TikTok responding to the trending query 'Is Kate wearing a wig?', though most of them are related to hair envy rather than her cancer recovery. One account, Shani Wigs, specialises in hair loss and says her most requested celebrity to discuss is Kate Middleton. In her video, she talks about how the Princess of Wales 'won the lottery' with her natural hair, but highlighted signs that she may use extensions. The TikToker said, 'Getting older often comes with losing density in your hair. In order to restore that volume, I think she's using extensions.'
It's worth remembering that the Princess of Wales has always been famous for having long and luscious locks, and how she maintains her hair - pre or post cancer treatment - is none of our business.
