This week, Prince William hit the headlines after missing the Commonwealth Day service in favour of a ski trip with friends Guy Pelly, James Meade and Tom van Straubenzee. The service is regarded as one of the most prestigious events in the royal calendar.
William faced further scrutiny after it was reported that he has only undergone 13 official duties so far this year in comparison to the Queen, who has attended 24 despite ill health.
To make matters worse, a video then surfaced of the 34-year-old dad dancing in a nightclub in the early hours of Wednesday morning to '90s hit ‘I Got Five On It’. In the released footage, Prince William is seen with his arm around an unidentified woman.
And Kate Middleton is reportedly ‘less than pleased’ with his antics.
A source told Vanity Fair: “It was William’s choice to go away, but make no mistake Kate wears the trousers in their marriage, and she won’t be happy with William’s antics. She thought his partying days and larking around with the boys was a thing of the past. I imagine she’ll find this humiliating and William will have come in for a pasting.”
The couple are expected to travel to Paris on Friday for a two-day state visit. The trip will be the first time the royal has visited the city since the tragic passing of his mother, Princess Diana. And as Prince William will be aware, the media spotlight is well and truly on the royal following his recent antics.
