Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry’s mental health charityHeads Together was recently announced as the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon charity of the year. And what better way to spur on participants than having the royal family cheer on runners along the route?

Yesterday, Prince Harry announced the news in a specially recorded video message.

The 32-year-old addressed the 39,000 runners in the clip: "You've been training for months and the start line for the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon is finally within sight.”

He continued: "I'm sure it will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. William, Catherine and I will be there to cheer you all on.”

The aim of Heads Together is to ‘help end the stigma that stops peoples talking and change the conversation about mental health for good’.

In the video message, Prince Harry expressed the need for more communication: "We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health. You can all play your part in the biggest ever movement for mental health."

He added, "Together we'll get the whole country talking about mental health.”

Runners will be encouraged to don a special headband in support of the charity. For advice and support, visit Heads Together.
