Prince William has disclosed that Kate Middleton has been trying a whole host of old fashioned remedies in order to beat her morning sickness - including ginger biscuits.
Chatting to 98-year-old Iris Orrell at an awards ceremony for the Metropolitan and City Police Orphans Fund, Prince William discussed Middleton’s ordeal.
Orrell asked William how Kate was doing telling the Prince that she too had suffered badly with morning sickness throughout her three pregnancies. Moving on to the subject of ginger as a supposed miracle cure, Prince William explained that they’d tried that with little success.
‘But there's not much ginger can do to stop that. We've done all that,’ Prince William said.
Ginger is a well known natural stomach settler and is used by many women during pregnancy to keep morning sickness at bay. However, for Middleton, who suffers with a particularly severe type of morning sickness known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum, ginger clearly isn’t enough.

Affecting 3% of mums-to-be, Hyperemesis Gravidarum is the most extreme type of morning sickness and involves not just nausea and vomiting but also weight loss and dehydration.
Middleton has suffered with the condition for both her previous pregnancies, and when she was pregnant with Prince George she was hospitalized as a result.
Since her pregnancy was announced at the beginning of September Middleton has withdrawn from public engagements. She was last seen when she visited Princess Diana's memorial gardens at Kensington Palace to mark 20 years since her death.
However, she will be taking a break from bed rest for World Mental Health Day on the 10th October when she will attend a reception at Buckingham Palace with William and Prince Harry.
