What would you do if you came face to face with Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge? While we like to think that we'd stay calm and collected in the presence of royalty (while remembering to steer clear of any of these words that the royals would never use), the reality is that we'd probably end up feeling a little star-struck.
That's exactly what happened to one young Kate Middleton fan during the Duchess's recent solo trip to Luxembourg. When the Duchess headed to the Place de Clairefontaine for a tour of a cycling festival, she was greeted by a group of well-wishers, with one small boy stepping forward to hand her a small bouquet of yellow and white flowers.
As he approached the Duchess, though, he appeared to lose face and suddenly become shy of her attention as he passed on the bouquet, turning away and huddling towards his mum. Too cute.
As parent to Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, two, Kate is probably no stranger to similar incidents (remember when George left Justin Trudeau’s high five hanging when the Canadian PM greeted the royals on their arrival in the country?) and handled the situation with signature charm, greeting her new admirer with a smile and a pat on the back to alleviate his nerves.
Earlier in the day, the Duchess headed to the Mudam Museum with Princess Stephanie, the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, where they were welcomed by adorable six-year-old twins Charles and Gabriel, who presented the pair with flowers.
