This weekend the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge marked Remembrance Day with two appearances - Saturday they attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, and on Sunday they paid their respects at the Remembrance Service at The Centopath in London.
At their first appearance of the weekend, Kate and Prince William were flanked by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Looking on from the Royal Box, they honoured fallen soldiers and veterans, applauding as the Chelsea Pensioners opened the show.
Kate looked chic in a simple black lace shift by Dolce & Gabbana, which she wore with black pumps and a poppy pin to mark the occasion.
On Sunday Kate was photographed standing alongside Queen Maxima of the Netherlands at the Remembrance Day Service. They looked on as Princes William and Harry lay wreaths as part of the ceremony.
For the sombre ocassion the Duchess chose a suitably sombre and polished look - a black velvet pannelled, double-breasted coat, which she wore with a matching black hat, featuring a flower corsage and veil. She accessorised with understated pearl drop earrings.
