So it was just an average birthday morning for 37-year-old Kate Hudson. You know, wake up, post to Snapchat:
'It's my birthday, it's my birthday - whatever!'
And then...
'Everyone knows the 7s are the most insignificant birthdays.
'27, I don't remember what I was doing. 37, I have no idea what I am doing. 47 is just going to be weird as ****.'
And then generally feel unenamoured with the day as it dawns on you you've aged...
But what Kate didn't know, was that her 37th birthday would be rather more exciting than she had anticipated. Because waiting for her in her sitting room, were none other than three SHIRTLESS men.
That's right: O-M-G.
Kate's reaction was much like ours would be – totally hysterical. Bursting into fits of giggles, Kate couldn't control her laughter as she looked on at the dashing Magic Mike-esque lads, getting ready to serenade her...
Annoyingly we have no idea what the chaps actually sang – Kate's Instagram video had been dubbed over by Selena Gomez's Birthday – but we imagine it was no half-hearted performance.
And that wasn't the only highlight for the Almost Famous star. She later revealed her mum, Goldie Hawn, and a gaggle of friends – including Sara and Erin Foster and Jennifer Meyer – came round for a spot of group meditation.
Demonstrating a complete 180 degree turn in mood from how she had originally, and unenthusiastically, started the day, Kate then ended it by posting this:
Earlier on, Kate had also wished 'happy birthday' to her mother, who she said, via Snapchat, was the real person responsible for the day:
'Happy birthday to my mother,' she said 'because it is really my mama who is responsible for everything, for pushing me out, well see, seeing me out.
'Mama you did all the hard work, you had sex, you were pregnant and then you had me.'
Too sweet!

That's right: even more sweet!
We have no idea what our friends and family are planning for our next birthdays [HINT...] but we very much hope that one day at least, we get a Kate Hudson kind of day.
