He’s a living legend as it is, but Karl Lagerfeld’s icon status is about to reach new heights with the release of Barbie Lagerfeld later this year.

The doll, who turns 55 years old this year, is wearing Karl’s trademark fingerless gloves and high white collar and, of course, those famous black sunglasses. She's also got skinny jeans, as per the Kaiser's own style, and a black tie. Basically, she is Karl, only with extremely unrealistic proportions for a female. We can't tell from the image if the hair will be silvery white, but here's hoping.

The doll will come out as part of Mattel’s Barbie Collector series and is slated to hit shelves in the autumn, reports WWD.

Barbie’s had a busy year already, the I Can Be entrepreneur collection came out last month and featured Barbie in all manner of employable guises, including an astronaut, a doctor, a pilot, a ballerina, a politician and a football player.

Karl’s not the only brand in his household either, his cat Choupette recently announced a make-up collaboration with Shu Uemura, which is being touted as the first partnership between a household pet and a cosmetics company. Uh, of course it is! Choupette also has a book on the way called Choupette: The Private Life Of A High-Flying Fashion Cat. The fluffy furball is one of the emojis in Karl’s brand-new emoji collection, too.
