Kanye West ran a last-minute show for his Kanye West X Adidas Originals, and of course, some stuff went down. From pissing off fashion designers, to North West interrupting (again), here are the four things you need to know about his appearance at New York Fashion Week.
1. He upset fashion designers
Especially Anna Bowen, who was booked for the same slot as Kanye and consequently had to scramble around for other dates (finally settling on Thursday) after he decided to move in at the eleventh hour.
‘We’ve been prepping for a year for this at considerable financial, labour – and commitment-cost to our company,’ Bowen said.
‘Our show date has been scheduled for months and has been on the Fashion Calendar for weeks. We went through all the proper channels to make this a reality,’ she told Women’s Wear Weekly.
‘Kanye knows he’s a media sensation and it’s just not ethical to do this. It’s like we’re David and he’s Goliath. We’ve put our heart and soul into our show, and shouldn’t be stepped on like this.’
2. Kylie Jenner walked, and Kendall didn’t get FROW
Obviously Kylie walked, and smashed it, but oddly Kendall Jenner was spotted a few rows back, not even getting access to the front row. Or maybe she didn’t want to attract attention. Well, she failed, as everyone was talking about her (obviously).
3. He used all different types of models
From blonde and white, to all different shapes and sizes, Kanye bucked the usual trend and employed a load of diverse models to showcase his pieces. All in beige-coloured military gear, but the shoes definitely lived up to expectations.

4. North West pulled focus again
Not with a tantrum, as she did last time, but by reportedly shouting ‘MOMMY!’ during the show which makes us feel all warm inside. We’re basically waiting for her to actually star in the next one, because let’s face it, she might as well.
