Kanye West Savagely Shades Kris Humphries During Airpool Karaoke

The latest episode of Carpool Karaoke was (literally) elevated as James Corden took to the skies with Kanye West - and his whole choir. Promoting his new album Jesus Is King, West appeared on the show and talked about his spirituality and inspiration for the album, getting a tax break as a reward from God, and – of course – wife Kim Kardashian.

After saying that marriage years are more like dog years, and claiming he made marriage cool again, he made a pretty savage joke about Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband Kris Humphries.

‘People thought it would be uncool to get married, and then I got married and then people went, “Oh, that looks cool,”’ West told Corden on the plane.

Corden, not at all convinced said; ‘No one ever thought it would be uncool to marry Kim Kardashian, everybody thought it would be cool to marry Kim Kardashian!’ To which West replied, in a late contender for the sickest burn of 2019; ‘Well, not Kris Humphries!’

Kim famously married basketball player Kris Humphries in 2011, a marriage which lasted a sum total of 72 days. While the union is often joked about, Kris later wrote an essay for The Players’ Tribune saying he had no idea what he was signing up for by becoming part of the Kardashian world, and said divorcing her made him not want to leave the house.

‘I was definitely naive about how much my life was going to change,’ he wrote. ‘But the one thing that really bothers me is whenever people say that my marriage was fake. There’s definitely a lot about that world that is not entirely real. But our actual relationship was 100 percent real. When it was clear that it wasn’t working…what can I say? It sucked.’
