Kaia Gerber and Pete Davidson, sitting in a tree! H-O-L-D-I-N-G hands! The duo were spotted a couple of days ago hand in hand after grocery shopping. Ah, love amongst the dry goods. Romance amidst the perishables. Frisson, by the fish counter. The pair’s unprecedented PDA has, for many, confirmed their coupledom – while neither Kaia nor Pete have said as much, rumours of something afoot have been swirling since late October when he was seen leaving her New York apartment. They’ve been seen together numerous times since then, though sources have been careful until now to label the relationship as ‘just friends’.
One only need look at Kaia to see her mother Cindy Crawford’s supermodel genes out in force, and they’ve propelled her daughter down international catwalks in her own right. At only 18, though, the model’s association with newly 26-year-old Pete had been met with controversy before it even took off. Hey, whatever you think of the 8 year age gap, it’s nothing compared to the 20 years between him and recent ex Kate Beckinsale (who – for the record – is 46, not 6.)
Davidson’s A-list dating history doesn’t stop there – who could forget 2018’s whirlwind romance with Ariana Grande? The rollercoaster which went from dating to split via engagement over 5 short months? Which gave us the untouchable anthem, ‘thank u next’? Besides Ariana and Kate, though, Pete seems to be developing a penchant for daughters-of-famous-people as well as A-listers in their own right. On that score, Kaia’s celebrity pedigree makes her number 3 – preceded by Pete’s past flames Cazzie David (Larry David’s daughter) and Margaret Qualley (Andie MacDowell’s daughter) who is reported to have split from Pete last month.
Everyone – whether they’re 18, 26 or 110 – enjoys an autumn stroll through upstate New York. Kaia and Pete looked happy and comfortable, presumably in the dual throes of BDE and NRE. An unstoppable combination: have fun, you pretty kids.
