And not ‘cos of that picture of him leaving court. Because he’s using weed and lean drinks…

Scurrying hot in the footsteps of Nigella Lawson's Grillo sisters, the assistants who told their story of drug allegations and intimate details of their boss's private life, Justin Bieber’s housekeeper Tatiana Voziuk has told hers, giving us an insight into his downfall.

'Justin was once a sweetheart, kind, considerate and a talented boy and I am concerned for him. He is now a lost boy,' she faux-gushed about the former bubble-gum-sweet pop star.

During her year working in Justin’s LA mansion, Tatiana says she watched as he both adopted the low-slung jeans, tattoos, fast cars and bling of contemporary hip-hop culture – and got himself into lean, or sizzurp, or purple drank (it's almost as if the more silly nicknames a substance has, the worse it is for you), a drink made out of a codeine-based syrup mixed with soda which is referenced in pretty much every Houston rap track going.

'On the kitchen top there was often a bottle of prescription cough syrup which I know had codeine in it, but I am not sure what else. There were soft drinks like Fanta alongside it too,' Tatiana told The Sunday People of the drink that’s commonly known as a downer. 'Usually celebs like their drinks thrown away if they leave them out as they are scared of being poisoned. I was told not to touch those bottles. And I wasn’t allowed to throw them away.'

The downfall – which started in early January 2013, right after Justin and Selena Gomez split and he was allegedly photographed holding a joint – led to him becoming a habitual cannabis user. 'I was always picking up joint butts and stubs from the kitchen, lounge and pool area where they had been thrown,' she says.

The housekeeper also insists she’s not speaking out because of the oodles of cash that would have been thrown her way for a Bieber scoop, but rather because she’s worried about him in the wake of his arrest for drag racing, driving under the influence and resisting arrest. 'I have decided to speak out now as I care for him. The drugs and hangers-on are turning Justin into a zombie. I’m terrified he’ll become the next Michael Jackson. If he doesn’t act now I will hear one day that he has passed away. It is heartbreaking.’

Probably not the best comparison given that Bieber tweeted that pic of him entering court in exactly the same way as MJ when he was facing allegations of child molesting…
