Congratulations are in order for Jude Law and Phillipa Coan - as the pair, who married in May last year, are expecting their first child together. ‘He and Phillipa are blissfully happy together and delighted to add to their family,’ a friend of the couple told the Daily Mail. ‘Everyone is really excited for the new arrival.’
It’s very happy news as Jude as he has previously said that he would ‘love’ to have children with Phillipa. ‘I love it, so absolutely why not?’ Jude, who has five other children, said in an interview with The Telegraph. ‘I’m very lucky to be involved with someone I’m madly in love with. The idea of having more children would be just wonderful.’ He added, 'We have an incredibly stable and healthy, wonderful family existence. And that involves my kids who are young adults… and then the younger ones are just so much joy and so much fun.'
Jude was previously married to fellow actress Sadie Frost and they share three children — Rafferty, 22, Iris, 18, and Rudy, 16. American model Samantha Burke had his fourth child Sophia, now nine. And the actor became a dad for the fifth time in 2015 when musician Catherine Harding - who has appeared on The Voice - gave birth to a baby girl.
When Jude and Phillipa tied the know last year, they kept it very lowkey, opting for.a civil ceremony with their closest friends and family.
