Last week came the happy news that adorable A-list couple Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are expeecting their first child. The news was particularly touching as Chrissy admitted in the Instagram announcement that the couple have struggled to conceive. However despite the 'love and wishes' she thanked fans for, there have been a small amount of cruel naysayers. But Chrissy has shut them down perfectly.

Some Twitter and Instagram users suggested that having made the announcement a week ago Chrissy couldn't possibly have such a pronouced bump and must be expecting twins. One user waded into to speculate: 'big possibility its twins if you were using IVF' [sic]

Here's how she repsonded:

She also shared this sweet photo of her bump, joking that it's 'early to the party.'

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are expecting their first child. The couple annonced the pregnancy news on Instagram, with Chrissy sharing a cute black and white photo on the social network.

She captioned the photo: "John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant :) As many of you know, we've been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn't been easy, but we kept trying because we can't wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We're so excited that it's finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx"

John instagrammed the same photo captioned simply "We're pregnant!".

The news comes a few weeks after Chrissy has spoken about the struggle to get pregnant.

“John and I were having trouble,” she said during an interview on talk show, FABlife. “We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened. But, my gosh, it’s been a process.”

She added: “I wanted to talk about it for so long...It didn’t feel right to ever tweet, ‘Ugh, doing my IVF shots again.’ It just sounded silly. It definitely was not planned in that episode at all.”

Congrats to John and Chrissy!
