Did someone finally get their own back on Joan Rivers? It certainly looks that way, as the acid-tongued Fashion Police host hotfooted it out of a QVC event in LA last night with cake, quite literally, all over her face.

The outspoken comedienne, who is best known for her acerbic witticisms on her E! Entertainment show on which she critiques stars' red carpet outfits, has undoubtedly made a few enemies in Hollywood thanks to her no-holds-barred comments.

Last year, Jennifer Lawrence criticised Rivers's show, and the culture that surrounds it. 'There’s shows like the Fashion Police and things like that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on things… that they put values in all the things that are wrong and that it’s OK to point at people and call them ugly and call them fat and they call it ‘fun’ and ‘welcome to the real world,' J Law said in an interview.

Unsurprisingly, Rivers wasn't too happy about it, and hit back at the 23-year-old via Twitter saying, among other things, 'My New Year’s resolution is [ensuring] Jennifer Lawrence grows up and realises how lucky she is and calms down.'

Although it's not yet known who committed the cream cake assault on Ms Rivers, we're sure she's not going to let it lie. And with the Oscars just a day away, this latest incident will no doubt have Rivers fired up and ready to take down any A-lister that makes the mistake of offending her with their sartorial choices.
