J.K. Rowling revealed a while ago that Hogwarts headmaster and all-round great wizard Albus Dumbledore was written as a gay character, much to the celebration of everyone (and a lot of 'Ohhh yeah!' moments) - and has now responded to a fan who said she 'can't see it' in the best way ever.
Obviously Twitter exploded, the tweet has currently got over 12,000 favourites and 9,000 retweets - and the user who asked the question responded 'amazing answer... Yes you are absolutely right. Such an inspiration!!!' but this has has since been removed. Perhaps her feed broke from the avalanche of responses?
When announcing that Dumbledore was gay, the Harry Potter author said: 'It has certainly never been news to me that a brave and brilliant man could love other men. He is my character. He is what he is and I have the right to say what I say about him.'
Damn straight. And another thing - she keeps Twitter firmly in perspective:
The woman is a magical fountain of knowledge.
