Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, has been found dead in her Los Angeles home.
Police discovered the body of the 28-year-old make-up artist on Monday night, after friends checking up on her raised the alarm when they failed to be able to get hold of her. It is believed she died by suicide.
Cathriona – who was originally from Cappawhite, County Tipperary in Ireland - posted a message on Twitter just a few days earlier that said: “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.”
She had dated comedian Jim for a year from 2012 until 2013, when the couple split. They rekindled their relationship for a while earlier this year, but are believed to have broken up again recently.
Jim has not yet commented on her death.
