It takes quite a lot to be banned from a festival for life. And last year Jess Glynne managed it. The singer was barred from the Isle of Wight festival indefinitely after she cancelled her set on the main stage last minute. Speaking to The Mirror, festival organiser John Giddings told he was appalled by Glynne’s ‘shocking behaviour’ and that, as consequence, she would never play again. ‘She will never be booked to play the Isle of Wight again,’ Giddings said. ‘It shows no regards for people that bought a ticket. It’s so sad that an artist would do that to their fans. She’s let them down.’

It probably wasn't helped that the night before Jess had been out partying with the Spice Girls.

Anyway, all seems to be forgiven now - as the singer will be performing at the festival next year.

The singer - who supported the Spice Girls on their reunion tour - later confirmed she had been out with Mel B and friends, but stated that she pulled out of the festival because she had sustained a haemorrhage to her vocal chords after 'overdoing everything'.

At the time a representative for Glynne blamed ‘physical exhaustion’ for her inability to perform, writing in a statement: ‘Jess had every intention of performing today at Isle of Wight. However, as the show got closer it became apparent that she was physically exhausted after a very intense last few weeks of touring. As a result we took the decision to cancel the show. Jess is extremely frustrated and apologises to all her fans but ultimately her health must come first.’

Representatives for Glynne said today, 'The Isle of Wight Festival and Jess Glynne have unfinished business and both are delighted that she will be returning next year. Jess is coming back for her fans and will have a show for you that will not disappoint, so get ready.'

Next year's festival will see Lewis Capaldi, Duran Duran and Snow Patrol headline - with new acts such as Carly Rae Jepsen, The Script and Glynne added.
