J Lo played her first ever concert in Egypt last Friday - but one lawyer is asking she doesn’t return to the country for appearing ‘naked on stage’.
The complaint has been filed by Samir Sabry, an Egyptian lawyer known for instigating lawsuits against celebrities, and he has requested that Lopez isn’t allowed back.
During the concert - which was part of her It’s My Party tour - the star wore a variety of show-stopping designs from designers such as Egypt's Nagwa Zahran, Nicolas Jebran and Zuhair Murad.
Speaking to Egyptian media, the lawyer stated that ‘these transparent and nude clothes, and the date of the concert is not appropriate at all.’
Sabry said that the date of the concert came in conjunction with the last ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, when Muslim pilgrims from all over the world flock to the holy city of Mecca, saying, ‘It is not appropriate that people are staying standing on Mount Arafat praying, while others are attending a concert by an artist.’
He claimed that the singer appeared ‘naked on stage’, which he said ‘violates Egyptian norms and traditions.’
JLo did not, in fact, appear naked on stage at any point.
It's not the first time the lawyer has filed a complaint over a celebrity's outfit, as he filed a complaint against actress Rania Youssef after she wore a sheer dress to the Cairo International Film Festival last year.
