On Friday Donald Trump signed an executive order banning the citizens of seven muslim-majority countries entering the U.S. Unsurprisingly people aren’t exactly happy about the news, and celebrities have not stayed quiet on the topic.
One of the A-list to speak out is Jennifer Lawrence, and the actress took to Facebook to publicly slam Trump’s order.
“My broken heart goes out to the innocent lives of Muslim refugees that are trying to escape terror and find safety for their families,” J-Law’s message began.
“I and millions of Americans understand that someone's race or religion should never keep them in harm's way. It should be every person's duty to help and protect anyone no matter their nationality,” Lawrence wrote.
Addressing the President himself, she said: “I pray for sanity and compassion to return to the White House.”
Lawrence has not been the only famous face to address the issue, over the weekend Kim Kardashian shared a set of statistics highlighting the lack of risk posed by immigrants.
