Jennifer Lawrence Has A Statement To Make On Her First Public Appearance Since Nude Photo Hacking

For totally understandable reasons – if nude photos had been leaked of us, and the whole world was obsessed with them and talking about them, we’d probably hide away for a bit – Jennifer Lawrence hasn’t been out in public for the past few weeks.

However, on her first outing, she’s got a statement to make. Well, the most incredibly vague statement that will befuddle gossip journalists forever more, or at least until she speaks on the record about The Fappening, where hackers accessed images of her naked through her iCloud account and published them on sites like 4Chan and Reddit. But it’s a statement nonetheless.

As she went for a stroll around Malibu, LA (quite close to rumoured beau Chris Martin’s home, reports MailOnline), she was wearing not only an incongruous pairing of shorts and a beanie (maybe she wanted to go incognito, she was also wearing shades) but a T-shirt with a quote on it.

‘If you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely,’ it reads. And FYI it’s a passage from Roald Dahl’s* The Twits* – a children’s book, in case your childhood was devoid of his charms.

A message to people who’ve been blaming Jennifer for the hack of her own photos? A shootout to all of her supporters? A tirade against the actual hackers? A memo to all the twits out there that we should all be nicer people?

Regardless of whom it’s directed at and what it means, the fact Jennifer’s out and about is pretty great. We can’t wait to see her channel a bit more of her Hunger Games character Katniss Everdeen’s take-the-haters-down mentality into her day-to-day.
