Jennifer Lawrence Says She Embarrassed Herself By Asking Jennifer Lopez To Dance

She 'looked like a freak' after downing ten jello shots...

Jennifer Lawrence turned up on Jimmy Fallon's talk show last night wearing a beard. 'I couldn't help it. Everybody's talking about how Jennifer Lawrence's grown her hair out a little bit, so I decided to grow my chin out a little bit, Hollywood-style,' the actress joked, as she flapped about some blonde extensions on her chin. (And there we were thinking it might have been about Conchita?)

She then pulled them off and began to tell a J-Law grade story about how Jimmy embarrassed her in front of that inventor of the first-letter-of-first-name-and-then-a-bit-of-surname moniker, J-Lo*, when she last partied with the TV chat-show host. 'We were dancing and we see J-Lo, and we're like, "We gotta get J-Lo to dance," so I was like okay, what we do is, we'll do a spin and be like, "dance with us" [mimes a silly dance] together,' she said. 'This was like ten jello shots in and I've never done jello shots. I didn't go to college.'

However, at the event, where Jimmy says Kanye West was 'barking' on stage, the dance didn't go down so well. 'Yadda yadda yadda, basically I do it and then I go like this [does silly dance], and then I look and he's gone, and then it's just me looking at J-Lo going, "Dance with… me," and then she was just like, "No, no," because then she was just like, "I think I'm just gonna observe."'

J-Law then said to Jimmy, 'You made me look like a freak in front of J-Lo, do you know what that feels like?'

Jimmy's version of events is a little different. He said that he had to dance away because J-Lo's manager had given him the dead-eye.

The pair then made a plea to J-Lo, if she was watching, 'Just dance with us!' and did loads of brilliantly silly voices.

Yup, 10/10 J-Law points for that interview.

  • (seriously, it was Jennifer Lopez way back when who solidified this sort of nicknaming, calling herself it for an album, definitely taking a leaf out of then-boyfriend Puff Daddy/P Diddy/Diddy/Sean Combs's book when it comes to nameplay)
