Despite reconciliation rumours, it seems that Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky really aren’t getting back together, as the Black Swan director has been spotted with Suki Waterhouse.
The 48-year-old Oscar-nominee was seen spending time with the 26-year-old model-turned-actress while at the Sundance Film Festival, where he is debuting his latest virtual reality project, Spheres: Songs of Spacetime. She is there promoting her upcoming film Assassination Nation, which co-stars Bella Thorne.
Aronofsky and Lawrence dated for a year while working on their film Mother! together. They called it quits in November 2017, after they had finished promoting the film, which had lukewarm reviews.
Indeed, the reviews were part of the problem, as the actress explained to Variety. ‘Dating the director was different, because, it's like, we'd be on the tour together and I'd come back to the hotel and the last thing I want to talk about or think about is a movie. He comes back from the tour and that's all he wants to talk about. I get it. It's his baby. He wrote it. He conceived it. He directed it. So I was doing double duty of trying to be a supportive partner while also being like ‘Can I please for the love of God not think about Mother! for one second?’
Waterhouse famously dated Bradley Cooper from 2013-2015, with the two breaking up in 2015. He has since moved on with Russian model Irina Shayk, with whom he shares a daughter, 14-month-old Lea.
