Fans of J-Law in her incarnation as the blue-skinned Mystique in the X-Men movie franchise will be just thrilled to know producers are considering giving the shapeshifting character her own movie.
Mystique plays a major part in the next installment of the series* X-Men: Days of Future Past,* opening next month in the US, but her character has so much more potential, as X-Men producer/writer Simon Kinberg tells Entertainment Weekly: ‘I love what Jen Lawrence has done with her, and I feel like because she is in such a crowded ensemble, there’s so much more opportunity if you were to follow her solo.’ Yes! We agree!
Producer Lauren Shuler Donner reportedly has also expressed interest in creating a solo movie for Mystique, as well as several other characters including Gambit and Deadpool.
X-Men character Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, has enjoyed massive success as a standalone star, with another movie scheduled for 2017.
