Ever imagined what the inside of one of Hollywood’s most notoriously private couples, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, might look like? Is there a Friends room, strewn with memorabilia? An in-house hair salon to maintain that signature haircut? A 22-seater cinema, infinity pool or spa, as seems to be the norm for the A-list? Not quite.
The couple recently gave *Architectural Digest *a tour of their stunning LA hilltops home (which they share with three of their dogs) for the magazine’s most recent issue, putting our own squalor to shame and giving us plenty of interior décor inspo.
A mid-century property, it features plenty of wood, stone and bronze throughout, with accessories including silk rugs, 1950s furniture and hand-painted wallpaper, as well as plenty of art works by Adolph Gottlieb, Robert Motherwell and Glenn Ligon. She's also got a Jean Royère Polar Bear sofa, Jacques Adnet armchairs and Mies van der Rohe daybed, proving you can have luxe pieces for lazing about on.
And this good taste isn’t a coincidence. Aniston has a knack for doing up houses, and often does it in her spare time. As she explains to Architectural Digest: ‘If I wasn’t an actress, I’d want to be a designer. I love the process. There’s something about picking out fabrics and finishes that feeds my soul.’
