Now that she's not quite the darling ingenue of Hollywood, some people have convinced themselves that Jennifer Lawrence isn't as amazing as she always has been, and that her whole down-to-earth persona might just be her trying to get us to like her.

And Jared Leto, who spent quite a lot of Ellen DeGeneres's infamous dozen-headed celebrity selfie getting close to the Hunger Games actress, is one of the first celebrities to put a Jennifer Lawrence conspiracy theory out there.

'You know, I'm starting to wonder if this is a bit of an act,' he told Access Hollywood when asked about Jennifer'slatest fall at the Oscars. (It's a thing she does, falling in Dior. Tbh we'd rather fall in Dior than stand in Superdry, or whatever normal people are expected to do).

Jared, who must be a bit of a joker if he gave U2 a standing ovation at the Oscars, probably wasn't being entirely serious with this comment. He also explained why Jennifer Lawrence asked certain audience members - when presenting the award for Best Actor - why they were laughing at her.

She had said 'Why are you laughing? What, is this funny? I'm still watching you!' and though us at home couldn't see who she was talking to, Jared assures us it was his family: 'She said "What are you laughing at?" But what she didn't know was that Ellen was on the side…making, pantomiming, "Don't fall, don't fall!", and my mom and brother are all cracking up.'

He added: 'I guess we don't have manners. You can take them out of Louisiana, but you can't take the Louisiana out of them, right?'
