If there's one place you don't want to be fashionably late, it's, er, fashion week.

One thing we've learnt from our time sitting beside the catwalk is that people do not like to be kept waiting for a show to start when they're squashed together tighter than T-shirts on a Topshop rail. Even if they are rubbing shoulder pads with the industry's most stylish.

So when Katy Perrystalled the Moschino show in Milan for an hour because she was late to make her catwalk cameo, people were not best pleased.

The singer was booed and heckled by photographers as she posed to have her picture taken on the runway, modelling designs from Jeremy Scott's debut collection for the Italian label. Not impressed with the braying crowd, Perry bluntly told them: 'You're all going to get your picture, so shut the fuck up.' Indeed.

Meanwhile, when Jared Leto kept the fash pack waiting for 35 minutes at the Jeremy Scott show at New York Fashion Week, people weren't half as angry. The Dallas Buyers Club star managed to charm the packed room by standing up and saying: 'My apologies! You all look lovely!'

It looks like designer Jeremy Scott needs to teach his celebrity pals a thing or two about timekeeping. And maybe Jared could share some of his smooth lines with Ms Perry.
