James Middleton and Donna Air have responded to the rumours that they have broken up. Turns out, they are very much together and it was all just a big old tabloid rumour! Quelle surprise.
In a joint statement to Hello! the couple said:
"Mark Twain once complained that reports of his death were exaggerated. A few days ago we were equally amazed to read the obituaries of our relationship in the national press."
"Happily, we can report that our relationship is NOT over. We are still very much a couple and have not parted ways."
They added: "All recent stories are untrue and without merit."
We did wonder about the rumours when they broke, especially seeing as the Middleton family were blamed as the reason behind the split.

James Middleton and Donna Air are rumoured to have split after three years together. The impressively-bearded brother of the Duchess of Cambridge and the TV presenter have called it quits because "he wasn't ready to settle down", according to reports in The Sun.
“The split happened a couple of weeks ago and it was James’ decision. Poor Donna. She’s more than a little bit heartbroken,” a source told the tabloid.
“But he just didn’t think it was going to go the distance. And I think his family were always very anti her being the future Queen of England’s sister-in-law.”
Despite that pretty harsh comment from the source (as IF the Middletons would mind about Donna Air being James's girlfriend) neither have commented on the split - although Donna Air did post a slightly cryptic message on her Instagram account suggesting she was single again. It was from a Bikram yoga studio, natch.
If the rumours about James and Donna are true, then it's been a tough week for James - historian Dr Alun Withey has ruled that the hipster beard is over.
