How do the stars celebrate their thirtieth birthdays? With their own festivals, naturally... at least, that's what actress Jaime Winstone did for her recent birthday bash.
The Winstone family 'ranch' in Essex saw itself transformed into a veritable fairground for the party – complete with bouncy castle 'rave dome' and a pink cadillac serving Popsicles – in an event entitled 'Winstock [a humorous take on the 60s festival, Woodstock] in association with Wildfox'.
Adopting the dress code 'A game', guests – including Alice Dellal and Mary Charteris, Robbie Furze and Nicholas Kirkwood – raved long into the night, to the beats of DJs Damian Lazarus and Jodie Harsh, who took to the decks as a surprise for Jamie.
'The highlight for sure was the amount of different groups of people coming together...to celebrate my birthday,' said Jaime, 'I secretly buzz off that.'
'It really had such a great festival vibe,' she continued, 'which I was really pleased about... I was so overwhelmed with love and my friends. Having a list of all the people is one thing, but having them all there together – and seeing all that love – was so special. And [also] seeing my mum rave to Richie Ahmed!'
Party-goers munched on woodfire pizzas to keep them going, and plied the birthday girl with gifts; her favourite was a pair of fish, one of which was an albino.
Asked about turning 30, Jaime replied: 'I feel ready! Just feels like a perfect time in my life to celebrate. I'm focusing on things that I've already achieved and [pushing] it more – the next grown-up wonderful chapter in my life.'
