Jada Pinkett-Smith and Jaden Smith have made their stance clear on a resurfaced video of YouTuber Shane Dawson, which Jaden claims ‘sexualises’ an 11-year-old Willow Smith. Jaden, 21, tweeted over the weekend that he was ‘disgusted’ with Dawson’s alleged behaviour, in which it’s claimed he once posted a video of himself pretending to masturbate to a Disney poster of the popstar, who was aged 11 at the time, while he was around 22-years-old.

‘SHANE DAWSON I AM DISGUSTED BY YOU,’ he wrote. ‘YOU SEXUALIZING AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HAPPENS TO BE MY SISTER!!!!!! IS THE FURTHEST THING FROM FUNNY AND NOT OKAY IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT.’ Mum Jada also got involved on Saturday, tweeting, ‘To Shane Dawson… I’m done with the excuses.’

On Friday, the YouTuber, who has 22million subscribers, uploaded an apology video called Taking Accountability, where he discussed a series of recent allegations, including blackface. Dawson does not mention Willow, now 19, but he said he would ‘never talk about a child in any way that is inappropriate’. He continued: ‘That is disgusting, that is gross, it is not something I would ever do. It is something I did for shock value or because I thought it was funny or, like “Oh my god, my child molester character,” or whatever. It’s all gross and I promise that is not real, that is not me.’

Dawson also responded to the blackface allegations, saying, ‘Blackface was something that I did a lot. Like, I did it a lot on my channel. There’s no excuse for it, there’s literally no excuse.’ Jaden also asked his fans to instead support other creators. ‘This Man Was Also Doing Black Face On The Regular,’ he wrote. ‘As The Youth We Need To Support Creators Who Support Us And Our Morals. This Is Not Okay.’ Dawson has not yet responded to the Smiths’ condemnation of the video.
