Idris Elba{ =nofollow}is one of the latest stars to have tested positive for coronavirus. The actor announced the news on Twitter, saying that he showed no symptoms - but decided to get tested last Friday when he learnt he had been exposed to someone with the virus. Idris added that he has stayed in self-isolation since he was tested.

‘Stay home people and be pragmatic,’ he said, appearing in a video with his wife Sabrina Dhowre. ‘I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.’

‘Transparency is probably the best thing for this right now,’ Idris added. ‘If you’re feeling ill, or you feel like you should be tested, or if you’ve been exposed, do something about it.’

The actor was one of the attendees of the Wembley Arena We Day event on 4 March alongside Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the wife of the Canadian prime minister, who has since tested positive for coronavirus.

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson announced that they had caught the virus last Wednesday in Australia, where Tom was working on the upcoming Baz Luhrmann Elvis biopic. According to reports, they have both since left hospital in Australia - however, they are staying in a house where they will continue to be quarantined.

Bond actress Olga Kurylenko also announced yesterday that she has tested positive for Covid-19. 'I've actually been ill for almost a week now. Fever and fatigue are my main symptoms,' she wrote on Instagram. 'Take care of yourself and do take this seriously!'
